Amend the Constitution to enact term limits of Not More Than 12 years in the House/Senate total (3 House/2 Senate terms)

Created by D.C. on December 30, 2012

We request amendment to the Constitution to limit the terms (years) an elected official can serve in the House or Senate. This limit should be established at 12 total years, equating to 3 terms in the House or 2 terms in the Senate. This amendment is necessary to stop the stagnation and "empire building" that has run rampant in Washington. Since the Presidency has enacted term limits the same should be done for members of the House/Senate.
