We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Amend the constitution to guarantee parental rights and a child's right to equal access to both parents.

Created by D.G. on January 02, 2017

Currently, parents are not guaranteed access to their children and children are not guaranteed access to both parents equally.

For more than 15 years now, studies have universally shown that children require both parents equally. This is ignored across the country by custody court judges with unlimited discretionary powers. It is believed by these judges, despite all evidence, that children belong with mothers primarily, leaving fathers with 4 days a month to see and raise their children.

The people of our country, including our founding fathers, clearly believed this to be obvious and so it wasn't thought to include it. We're asking that it be added as a fundamental right and the fact that the greatest free nation in history does not already afford this right is appalling.
