We the people call on Congress to pass a new amendment to help redeem us of our past mistakes and prevent repeating those mistakes as humanity moves into the future.
This amendment would prohibit anyone acting on behalf of the U.S. government as agent, asset, or contractor from interfering in the internal politics, economics or development of other civilizations whether here on earth or on a another planet, and forbid knowingly annexing territory belonging to any other sapient civilization or species. Any one enacting a violation of this directive or ordering a subordinate to do so should be prosecuted in the same manner as someone guilty of treason, regardless of peace time or war time.
