Amend the Constitution: Limit Congressional terms to a total of no more than 12 years and/or mandatory retirement at 75.

Created by C.M. on March 02, 2013

Congress is too secure in their jobs. They no longer listen to their constituents. Instead, they are controlled by lobbyists' money. Authors of the Constitution likely did not intend for elected officials to serve for life. Surely, they hoped governing would be shared amongst the people, resulting in fresh faces and new ideas after elections.

It is frustrating to see Congress members who are so fragile that they are unable to speak, walk, or write without assistance from aides.
It is even worse to see Congress refuse to work together to create a budget, or to do nothing, and then to spend public money to fly home every weekend after working 3-4 days if at all, or to take vacations when urgent matters are pending. Let's limit their terms and impose age limits.
