Congress people are too secure in their jobs. They no longer listen to their constituents; instead, they are controlled by lobbyists' money. The authors of the Constitution of the United States likely did not intend for elected officials to serve for life. Surely they hoped that governing would be shared amongst the population, resulting in fresh faces and new ideas.
It is frustrating to see Congressional members who are so old that they are unable to speak or write without support from aides. They should retire when they become infirm and give younger people the opportunity to serve their country.
