The NRA has indicated that our tragically high right of gun-related homicides are due to our culture of violence, with violent movies, video games, and music as significant ingredients in our "national nightmare of violence and victimization."
Whereas we had previously believed that our media entertainment had been exported around the globe, it is now clear to us that the dramatically lower rates of firearm homicides in developed countries around the world must be due to differences in their media diet.
Therefore, we the people demand a constitutional amendment to eliminate violent entertainment from our media diet. We must respond to the recent mass homicides with sacrifice, tolerating poor lighting, low production values, and tiresome costume dramas to save American lives.
