I petition for an Amendment to the Constitution that would eliminate the Senate and expand the House to approximately 1200 seats, with districts being about 250,000 in population. In addition, the amendment would establish voting representation for the District of Columbia, and a Federal Redistricting Commission that would establish a uniform method for drawing district boundaries.
The purposes of this amendment are: to improve minority and minor-party participation in government; to make districts a more manageable size for representatives; to remove the practice of gerrymandering districts for political advantage; and to eliminate the legislative bottlenecks created by the current bicameral legislature.
