Capital Punishment is a barbaric form of punishment that has no place in the modern world, and we call on the Obama administration to push for the full abolition of the death penalty for all crimes, and to commute the cases of those currently under sentence to life in prison without the chance of parole. An execution, once performed, is irreversible and it is a fact that many innocent people have been put to death. Human beings are fallible, and because of this, the death penalty must be abolished to insure justice for those wrongly sentenced.
