The Citizens United Supreme Court decision of 2010 made the outrageous findings that corporations count as people, and money counts as speech. As a result of this, laws limiting campaign donations by companies were overturned, and corporations are permitted to provide unlimited money to political candidates under the guise of "free speech." This means that the candidates favored by wealthy corporations are allowed to dominate the media and look like they are favored by everyone, which is actually the opposite of free speech.
A constitutional amendment is needed stating that corporations aren't people, and money isn't speech.
