Using only the Imperial measuring standards inherited from our forefathers, the US leads the world in science, engineering and industry. The inch, foot, and gallon were the standards used to win world wars, rend the iron curtain and transplant a baby's heart.
The failing countries of the world toil at weakening the US by hobbling her people with their Metric system. Their flailing arguments teeter on one foundation; "everyone is using it."
It is the impish demand of the adequate to which our mothers would respond, "If everyone jumped off a bridge.."
We the people of the US pursue outstanding excellence and will never be satisfied with "adequate".
