Amend the constitution with regard to Supreme Court nominations to a term of 12 years instead of a Lifetime position.

Created by J.P. on July 04, 2014

The Supreme Court has become a partisan tool in recent years especially with regard to religion. NO ONE should be given a lifetime position. Nothing good can come from having a job you know you'll have the rest of your life no matter what you do.

In addition, being older doesn't necessarily mean you're wiser. A position for life means at some point you'll be making decisions with somewhat less mental capacity than when you were appointed.

This petition addresses these issues by placing a 12-year term limit to any Supreme Court appointment, insuring that new blood and views are constantly involved in the highest court decisions.
