The constitutional rights of fictional corporate persons didn't begin with the Citizen's United decision of 2010. Overturning Citizen's United with a constitutional amendment is a Red Herring; campaign corruption was rife before 2010. Since the 14th Amendment in 1868 which guaranteed "due process of law" and "equal protection" to all "persons," the Railroad Barons of the Gilded Age began accruing rights for their fictional corporate persons through the Supreme Court, which CEO's continue today. At this point in history, corporations have MORE rights than humans because of their deep pockets and huge influence on the government. Corporate rights under the Constitution have bent our government to serve corporate interests instead of the interests of ordinary people and the Common Good.
