As it stands in the United States Constitution under the 22nd amendment, only those who are 35 years of age or older and who are natural-born citizens may qualify to serve as United States President.
This means that naturalized citizens may not serve as President. However, naturalized citizens have taken it upon themselves to make the lengthy process of renouncing their former citizenship and becoming a US citizen. It is done out of their great love, loyalty, and patriotism for the the United States. Many naturalized citizens took the path of the military to obtain citizenship. If they are willing to serve their country, they are undoubtedly deserving of the ability to be President.
This petition proposes a change the 22nd amendment to qualify naturalized citizens for US presidency.
