Amend the US Constitution to limit the term of service within the House of Representatives and the US Senate to a maximum of 12 years. No person shall be allowed to serve in one or both chambers of Congress for more than 12 years within that persons lifetime.
Our Congress has failed the American people. Some members have served in their seats for 30+ years. In that time, these members have failed to manage our abundant resources, yet they have passed laws that guarantee abundant healthcare and wealth for themselves during retirement. The culture within Congress has developed into one of "serving ourselves" and not "serving the people" of the United States. About one person in eleven believes Congress is doing a good job. It's time for fresh leadership!
