This petition calls for an amendment to the Constitution of the United States so as to establish term limits upon the members of the Supreme Court. Over the course of the last 30-years the American people of been subjected to increased politicalization of the supreme court both in the nomination processes and in case rulings. The result is a court that no longer adheres to traditions and long held values of the American judicial process. The court has become polarized based on political ideology rather than its commitment to uphold the values of our Constitution and founding principles. As such, we must minimize such negative impacts of rogue justices by eliminating lifetime appointments and establishing a single10-year term limit for all justices.
