Currently, in the United States, there are over 30 million citizens between the ages of 18 and 25. Over 10% of the population. According to Article I and II of The Constitution, no citizen may hold a federal office below the age of 25. This means that the younger generation cannot influence their future government beyond the scope of voting; considered pointless by a large portion of citizens . Now the issue with the requirement is simple: its context. These requirements were writing when the said age group had far less knowledge and education as we do today and furthermore. For 240 years, this country, and its people, have grown, developed, and diversified its mind,opinions, and image. It is unfair that in a Representative government, 10% of the population cannot be truly represented.
