We the people demand that the Controlled Substance Act of 1970, which classifies marijuana as a schedule one drug be amended. It states that a schedule one drug is one that has NO currently accepted medical use in the United States. While U.S patent #6630507 filed on February 2, 2001, states that cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant properties, unrelated to NMDA receptor antagonism. This new found property makes cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.
