Amend current non-immigrant visa policies or create a new non-immigrant visa class for spouses of U.S citizens abroad.

This issue is an important one that needs to be addressed, especially in these days of hot topic immigration debates. There is no current policy protecting ability of spouses of US citizens that live abroad wanting to visit the country for vacation without being forced to immigrate against their wishes by local embassies and consulates. Hundreds of American citizens living abroad for multiple reasons who marry foreign spouses choose that they don't want to live in the US but want to bring their new spouse to the country for vacation and to meet family and friends, only to be told at a B-2 visa interview no that they must immigrate, a process costing thousands of dollars and taking a year. Or more to process. This is unfair practice to citizens and their spouses and needs to be changed.
