We call upon the President to respect and abide by the democratically enacted state laws to regulate marijuana. Currently presidential executive order 12564 conflicts with the will of the people in these states.
Specifically section 7 ( c ), the description of illegal drugs.
This definition is in direct conflict with many state laws regarding marijuana, and suggests that citizens lawfully using marijuana in their state are criminals and underserving of the trust of the federal government.
We respectfully ask you to repeal 12564 or amend section 7 (c) to reflect the will of the people.
