The US in the only developed country in the world that does not provide appropriate leave for families. Women and men are constantly needing to decide if they will sacrifice their career for the family or vice versa. In order to support our children from the beginning, families should be provided with better paid leave options that are considerate of the whole family's needs. This should be a federal mandate not a state by state or employer decision.
