Network television has become an unwatchable mess due to the use of constant logos that stay onscreen during an entire program. It has been 16 years since CBS and ABC were the last networks to join this trend, and if that wasn't enough many local TV stations (including so-called public television stations) have also been putting their own logos onscreen during syndicated shows. This demonstrates a complete disregard for picture quality and often blocks important picture information or text that is part of the program. Complaints to broadcasters have proven fruitless, so it is far overdue for the FCC to step in as this practice clearly does not serve "the public interest" that licensed stations are obligated to.
