amend the FCC rules to return greater control of the "public airwaves" back to the public

Created by J.G. on November 27, 2012

Since the Communications Act of 1996, allowing for increased cross-ownership and concentration of the media in cities and markets, communities have become more deprived of important, diverse sources of news, information and opinion. Ten media corporations control most the radio and TV station in the country, that is not healthy for a democracy. The FCC should re-instate the cross-ownership rules in effect prior to the Communications Act of 1996
