amend the Firearm Owners Protection Act and increase and streamline sales of military equipment to the general public

Created by A.S. on April 05, 2013

The FOPA should be amended - citizens should be allowed to purchase Class 3 weapons manufactured on or after May 19, 1986, given that all related paperwork is in order.
The federal government should also offer direct sales of surplus military equipment to the general public, and streamline the methods already in place. This is not limited to just firearms - given the value to collectors and other interested citizens, the purchase of appropriate vehicles, weapons, and other equipment by private citizens can generate desperately-needed revenue by recouping a portion of the item's purchase price and reduce the cost of storage and maintenance of these items.
