We petition to have FMCSA amend current hours of service for the trucking industry. Currently drivers must take a 10 hour break 14 hours after starting their clock.This regulation doesn't take in consideration for traffic, wait time, loading and unloading. We want to bring back the prior regulation of allowing a driver the choice to decide when to take a break,or stop their work clock. Current regulations have drivers driving while tired in order to make their deliveries on time.By changing this regulation it will decrease potential accidents by fatigued drivers.
