In the news recently, Former President Bill Clinton was shown as being one of New York's Electors casting his vote for his wife Hillary Clinton. This should not have been allowed because Bill Clinton being closely connected to Hillary Clinton by marriage cast his vote not as an elector but an impartial supporter of Hillary.
There should be guide lines in place to prohibit family members in the Electoral College casting votes for candidates they are close in relation with to formalize an election.
Please see to it that this does not happen again. We need Electors who can be trusted to vote the will of the people and not their own self serving desires (such as with Bill Clinton voting for Hillary Clinton on December 19, 2016).
