The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, H.R. 3590, on March 23 and the Reconciliation Act of 2010, H.R. 4872 currently only covers businesses that employ over 50 employee's to provide access to private area for mothers to express milk (either for feeding or storage). The resolution however does not cover mothers who are currently enrolled in a higher education program at either a public or private location. Requiring those institutions to provide the same coverage as a private or public business would allow those mothers to safely and securely have the time and place to store and/or breastfeed for their children.
