Amend the Humane Slaughter act, Animal Welfare act and 28 Hour law to include chickens under the definition of animal.

Created by G.R. on March 31, 2014

Currently under the Humane Slaughter act, Animal Welfare act and the Twenty-Eight Hour law chickens are not considered animals under their definition and prevented protection from inhumane treatment. This allows chickens to be degraded to nothing more than an object under the eyes of the law. This leaves chickens to be susceptible to incredibly inhumane processes such as debeaking, starvation, extended confinement. This violation of animal rights has gone on too long and should be changed immediately to prevent any more inhumane practices.
