We the people ask the federal government to Change an existing Administration policy:

Amend the IRS code to exclude Olympic Medal value and prize money won during the Olympic Games from gross income.

Created by C.H. on August 13, 2016

USA Olympic Medalists are currently subject to Federal and State taxes on prize money and value of the medal(s). We should reward our USA Olympic representatives for their accomplishments, not tax them.

These taxes are yet another burden to an Olympic athlete and come from one of the few countries that does not supply government funding to its Olympians.
