Amend Laws for a more punishable offense for crimes against Police Officers and other Public Employees

Created by M.S. on January 17, 2013

With all the various drugs being used by people in the current time, law enforcement officials are having harder times with citizens respecting authority. In West Virginia, a charge of battery against a police officer is hardly worth charging the perpetrator over. Citizens need to listen to what a police officer says. Obstruction, battery, assault, fleeing and etc are examples of all the laws that are broken everyday. Once the criminal is prosecuted, the sentence is handed down and the sentence needs to be more severe when these laws are violated.
