Amend the National Minimum Drinking Age Act and Federal Aid Highway Act to lower the drinking age to 18.

Created by M.K. on November 02, 2011

When an individual turns 18, they are supposed to be accepted into American society as a fully equal adult. This transition involves taking on rights and responsibilities including the ability to vote, serve on juries, join the military and be prosecuted as an adult. We the people believe it is unjust to deprive adults the right to responsibly enjoy alcoholic beverages. Over 100 college presidents from America's top universities have called on lawmakers to amend this ineffective and dangerous policy, because they truly understand how this law has negatively impacted our nation's best and brightest.
