to amend or repeal the Digital Millennium Copytight Act Of 1998

Created by L.W. on November 15, 2013

The Digital Millennium Copyright Act needs repealed or amended to offer better protection for the news media and end users of the internet from what is known as copyright trolls with the largest of these being CEG TEK International whom only use DMCA to try to extort money from the users of the internet.

Also this law needs to be changed where the Internet Service Providers are concerned because the alleged copyright holder does not have to present one shred of evidence that they actually own the rights to the material being claimed. As long as they write the take-down notice correctly the ISP does not have to investigate the legal merits of the claim. This causes undue hardship for small news organization with limited resources to fight for their rights.

Repeal this travesty of law
