Amend Police Officers Memorial Day/National Police Week from May 15th to July 7th in honor of fallen Dallas PD Officers.

Created by A.W. on July 10, 2016

The current date of May 15th should be amended to July 7th in honor of the fallen officers from Dallas as the current date of May 15th does not correspond with any significant tragedy. The July 7th date being the deadliest incident for U.S. Law Enforcement since the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks is a turning point in our county's history. With the current climate of anti police views and racial tensions, this date should be used to unite us as Americans.
