The administrative process involved to fire a underperforming government civilian working for the Department of Defense doesn't work. It is nearly impossible to process a government civilian for termination without years of effort and a mountain of paperwork. Altogether it constitues a waste of tax dollars and promotes a double standard when compared to "at will employment" law afforded to the average citizen. This process should be amended to bring it in line with the laws applicable to the average citizen and reduce the government wasteful spending on underperforming employees and administrative overhead in dealing with them. Stop allowing underperforming government civilian employees to continue to enjoy a free ride at the tax payer expense.
