Amend SEC. 704 Line 12 of the ONDCP Reauthorization Act of 1998. Allowing truth, and science to dictate drug policy.

Created by E.Q. on September 07, 2012

The National Drug Control Policy Re-authorization Act of 1998 SEC. 704 Line 12, gives the director of the ONDCP the authority to oppose any attempt to legalize the use of a substance (in any form) that is in schedule 1 of the Controlled Substance Act, and has not been approved by the FDA. I believe this has allowed our government to mislead the public regarding any sensible scientifically based drug policy.
When providing info on ANY drugs, we need to allow for EVERYTHING that has been scientifically proven true (repeatable results) to be presented by the director of the ONDCP. Currently this line is preventing scientific based policies, in the form of false truths, exaggerated results, and fabricated inappropriate stigmas. Misleading people only perpetuates anger, fear, and frustration
