Persons who own firearms are supposed to be protectors of the United States of America - all of the States. As such, gun owners should be persons with a background that says they have what it takes to protect and serve our country. Anyone who's into hunting should apply for a sporting arms license, which would limit the type of guns available for purchase (mainly shotguns or single shot rifles, not hand guns or semi automated anything - let's make it a fair fight, better than the one between those four Bald Eagles at Washington State Lake and their killer).
