The recent issues of gun violence in this country have made it necessary to take serious action on gun control in the United States.
Therefore, this petition is for the White House to coordinate submission to Congress of the following amended language to the Second Amendment as proposed by retired Justice Steven's in his book, Six Amendments: How and Why We Should Change the Constitution.:
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms when serving in the Militia, shall not be infringed.
