Amend SS Act now to continue Kidney Transplant Patients' Immunosuppressive Drug Coverage past 36 mos

Created by S.P. on January 29, 2014

To amend Social Security Act now (it's taking too long to get through the house and senate, etc) to include immunosuppressive (anti-rejection) drug coverage for kidney transplant patients past 36 months -- My sister successully received a kidney from our brother and now she may lose it because the anti-rejection medication is not affordable and she must rely on government funds to keep her new kidney. After 36 months, they cut off medications and put kidney patients on dialysis/transplant list. She has a healthy kidney that is perfect for her! If she continues on medications, she can keep her kidney for up to 20 years!
