Amend the Tax Code to increase the earned income tax credit amounts for working middle class, poor, & head of household.

Created by E.L. on September 23, 2011

The earned income tax credit benefits working middle class families, low income and poor families and single family households. This credit is computed using a specific chart provided by the IRS, and provides an additional amount of tax credit on the income tax return. Currently, these working families are struggling to make ends meet in their respective households. Therefore, I would propose an increase in the amount of earned income tax credit. This additional income tax refund amount will stimulate the economy, because more than likely taxpayers will buy items with the extra refund money they receive.
