Amend the Tiahrt Amendment. To allow the ATF to perform their job effectively and more efficiently.

The Tiahrt Amendment prohibits the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) from releasing information from its firearms trace database to non law enforcement. This should be transparent. The ATF shall no longer be restricted by the amendment. That being said the ATF shall not violate the Bill of Rights in the process. Also Gun education and safety as well as an open trace database from manufacturer to owner etc. Background checks to include mental health history and/or evaluation for future firearm purchases. Large Ammunition purchases now with waiting periods. Local police and ATF notified of any auto/semiauto firearm sale by seller(10 day grace period.) 1 mile gun free zones for all non law enforcement personnel for all schools and government facilities.
