Amend Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to prohibit employment discrimination based on current employment status

Created by C.S. on October 21, 2012

Many corporations reject job candidates simply because they are not currently employed. This practice is widely known and discussed on internet job hunting sites, and discriminates against a significant percentage of the population which is highly skilled and capable, and guilty of nothing more then being part of a mass layoff.

This proposal is to amend Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to include employment status to the list of protected categories.
