Amend the United States Constitution so that gay, lesbian, and transgender people are protected by the Civil Rights Act.

I know that the President alone cannot Amend the United States Constitution. However, I believe that having the President's support is vital for us to have a fighting chance at bringing 38 State Legislatures to the table in favor of ratifying the 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution such that gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, and HIV+ people will be included as members of a protected class that would make it illegal to discriminate against queer people the same way it is illegal to discriminate against someone because of their race, or gender, or national origin. We the Queer People of the United States demand equality. We deserve to be recognized as a protected class because we have been the victims of vicious and violent homophobia and transphobia and ignorance. Freedom!
