AMENDMENT OF DODD-FRANK CONSUMER PROTECTION ACT SPECIFIC TO CUSTOMARY AND REASONABLE FEES.

We, the undersigned, a coalition of Independent Fee Appraisers, pursuant to the petition of Richard Greco, and pursuant to the Dodd-Frank Consumer Protection Act, "Customary and Reasonable Fees" petition your administration. WHEREAS, fees prior to HVCC and the implementation of Dodd-Frank, were free market based, today they are dictated to appraisers via Appraisal Management Companies (AMC) that have evolved as a result of HVCC and Dodd-Frank. Therefore, we the undersigned petition your administration that Dodd-Frank be amended to revise C and R Fees, at “minimum” to be equal to or above the published regulated fees of the Veterans Administration, a Government Agency and any fee by an AMC above and beyond the new VA fee standard not be included as part of the appraisers fee.
