Amendment II of the Bill of Rights needs to be reviewed with respect to the rights of citizens to bear automatic weapons

In light of the horrific shooting on the night of July 19 in an Aurora, Colorado theater, the fact that an individual has access to a firearm such as an AK-47 and tear gas, swift and immediate legislation needs to be introduced to more tightly regulate manufacturers of such weapons which restricts them from selling them at gun shows and gun shops. Furthermore, weapons that are used by military and special tactics law enforcement should be available only to the military and said law enforcement groups.
