It is a national security threat for America to be dependent on foreign sources of oil from our enemies. America should post-haste develop all known natural resources to remove ourselves from all foreign oil sources, not just the ones from our enemies.
In addition to making America independent from foreign oil sources with its own natural resources, the federal government should provide tax incentives for corporations or individuals to develop alternative sources of energy.
Killing the American economy by trying to make gas prices $10 per gallon to develop alternative energy sources is not the solution. It is imperative that we eliminate foreign sources of oil as a natural security threat by developing our own natural resources in addition to alternative energy sources.
