The American Infrastructure Renewal Act would allow for the Federal Government to transfer the current US Highway System into State Government Control. Allowing States to put into place a usage toll. Also allowing States to receive Federal monies collected from the Federal Gas Tax to put in place the needed technologies to create the toll system in-conjunction with their State Transportation Dept. Once the system is completed the Federal Gas Tax would be retired. All tolls collected would then be used for current and future repair of the whole system. The System would remain in States control. States would need to follow Federal Core of Engineers Standards of construction.
