Americans will hear about ALS at the Super Bowl. Many families live with it every day, it is a disease with no cure

Created by K.S. on February 03, 2013

ALS is a monster in the closet until it strikes your family. Many American families live with this everyday and wonder how they can financial afford all the equipment needed to keep their love one alive. It affects families financially and is a disease that can't be easily diagnosed by Drs. The progression of the disease cant be predicted, and no medical cure. Today, we have the best technology and scientist, but still no answers. We need money for more research, we need the FDA to support more clinical trials, and emotional assistance for care givers and patients. The patient loses all capabilies of functioning, walking, breathing, talking, and eating. Yet with the equipment we can keep him alive. We are ready for a cure. My husband is 42 and has the disease. We have a 4 year old
