and President Obama himself to unequivocally condemn Saudi Arabia's sentencing of Ashraf Fayad to death for apostasy.

Created by J.G. on November 22, 2015

Saudi Arabia has sentenced Palestinian poet Ashraf Fayad to death for renouncing Islam. This practice of executing apostates is medieval, barbaric and contrary to the most fundamental principles of universal human rights, including the principles at the very heart of the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution. Saudi Arabia must be held to account. President Obama must publicly and directly condemn this sentence and must pressure Saudi Arabia to renounce capital punishment for apostasy and blasphemy. This is an essential step in breaking the extremist ideology of Daesh and other radical Islamists and it is imperative that US ally Saudi Arabia take this step into the 21st Century now.
