It is frustrating to write the Administration for help, check the box that a reply is desired, and receive no reply. It is upsetting to send the White House faxes, letters, and emails and call the comment line and never hear a reply. We are told that the President receives 75,000 different pieces of correspondence a day. We are told he reads (and answers?) 10. That is roughly a 1 in 10,000 response rate, better than the lottery, but not what we expect when the government has a $3.3 trillion a year budget. Would it be and acceptable rate of customer service for Walmart or AT&T? No. Is it an acceptable rate of democratic inclusion for the White House? No. We do not contact the White House to be dissed. We contact the White House to be heard. Show that you hear us: reply!
