to answer why veterans are found not qualified for Federal jobs in the same position they held when they were enlisted

This petition addresses the unfair practice of excluding military enlisted from middle class Federal jobs. Military enlisted personnel are often found not qualified for Federal positions that are often the exact (or slightly changed) position they served when they were military enlisted personnel. In addition, if they are found to be qualified, they are often not selected in lieu of a military officer. Often the military officer does not have hands on experience but is selected based on their military rank and a perceived higher level of experience. If the enlisted person was the technical expert while in the military, they should still be the expect when applying for the equivalent civilian position.
