When a new law or policy is put in place all citizens must follow this. This includes social security and health care. Currently the politicians making these new laws have their own health care and pension plans that are outside of the laws that they have passed. If the members of Congress or the President feel that these are good for the citizens then they should also be part of this new law and include themselves in it.
